President in charge delivers robotic operating room and surgery area at Hospital Universitario de Caracas

This Monday, the President (E) of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led the delivery and operation of a state-of-the-art robotic operating room and the rehabilitated reconstructive plastic surgery area at the University Hospital of Caracas.
As part of a working meeting aimed at strengthening the National Public Health System, the president in charge activated a Robotics Unit with Automated Operating Room and a new Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Unit for Post-operated Oncology Patients at the Instituto Autonomo Hospital Universitario de Caracas (HUC), through a live television show.
At the meeting, she is accompanied by Carlos Alvarado, Minister of Popular Power for Health, and Ana María Sanjuán, Minister of Popular Power for University Education; while, from the HUC, Isabel Iturria, sector vice-president of Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health, and Dr. Luis Lira, director of said hospital center, are linked.
This historic endowment is generated in the context of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the HUC. The automated robotic operating room is designed to enhance highly complex surgical interventions with minimal invasion, drastically reducing recovery times. For its part, the oncology unit will offer a key comprehensive service to restore quality of life to those who overcome the battle against cancer.
