The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, inaugurated this Friday the Hydrocarbon Technology and Data Management Center, a strategic complex designed to consolidate the sovereignty, processing and governance of technical information in the national oil, gas and petrochemical industry.
This new strategic node, which is emerging as a cutting-edge technological hub, integrates advanced storage capabilities, industrial cybersecurity, automation and artificial intelligence.
Its structure is designed to house three fundamental operational pillars: the Sovereign Oil and Gas Data Bank, which safeguards more than 800 Terabytes of critical geoscientific information; the Executive Directorate of Automation, Information Technology and Telecommunications (AIT) of PDVSA, responsible for the infrastructure and security of critical systems; and the Deputy Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Productive Efficiency in Hydrocarbons, an instance dedicated to innovation and optimization of production processes.
The building, distributed over four levels, stands out for its modern Visualization Room located on the first floor, equipped with high-level digital display technology. This space will allow investors and specialized companies to carry out detailed analyses of multimodal geoscientific packages, including 2D and 3D seismic data, well records and reservoir studies, in order to accurately assess the country's prospective potential. In addition, the facilities facilitate the operational convergence necessary for decision-making based on predictive models and advanced analytics.
