This Thursday, March 19, the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led a meeting with the Foreign Relations Committee of the United States Senate, in the context of the peace dialogue with the North American Government, in order to refine the diplomatic agenda for the benefit of both peoples.
The meeting took place at the Miraflores Palace, with the participation of the American chargé d'affaires, Laura Dogu, the representative of Venezuela in Washington, Félix Plasencia, and Oliver Blanco, vice-minister of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs for Europe and North America.
This technical and political visit gives continuity to the road map established between Caracas and Washington, which prioritizes direct communication to manage historical differences and strengthen energy cooperation in the face of global challenges.
Prior to this meeting, the American delegation met at the Federal Legislative Palace with the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, who confirmed that politics and understanding are the fundamental instruments for moving towards a long-term strategic and economic partnership.
Since the beginning of the exploratory process in January of this year, both countries have achieved important milestones such as the re-establishment of diplomatic missions, the visit of senior energy and defense officials, and the formalization of new contracts for the supply of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA).
