President-in-Charge received the president of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, Kate Forbes

This Tuesday, May 5, the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, received the president of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies , Kate Forbes, together with senior authorities from these organizations.

The meeting that took place at the Miraflores Palace, is part of international humanitarian law and represents the sum of will to continue following the path of the protection of life, guided by universal humanitarian principles.

The meeting was attended by the international technical delegation, and strategic issues of humanitarian cooperation and the strengthening of ties between the Venezuelan State and the multilateral organization were addressed.

Also present at the event were Luis Manuel Farias, president of the Venezuelan Red Cross; Simon Pestana, director general of the same institution; and Nelson Castaño, head of the delegation of the Federation of the Red Cross in Venezuela.

Also in attendance were Isabel Iturria, Sectorial Vice President of Science, Technology, Education and Health, and Carlos Alvarado, Minister of People's Power for Health.
