The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that the country has a total supply of food and products necessary for everyone's consumption.

This was stated during a visit he made this Monday, May 18, to the spaces of the Social Welfare Institute of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (IPSFA) to consolidate productive spaces.

“Consumption has increased 31%, and this weekend the country's sales record was broken compared to the entire year and to last year's commemorative dates. I fully trust that as we improve the income of workers in the country, we will have a great boost,” he said.

He specified that “the contribution that this sector has given to the national economy in the last three years is the equivalent of 1.5 billion dollars. We know that 750,000 jobs were created that are directly in this sector.”

“These are very positive numbers for our country and demonstrate commitment despite a blocked economy. The day the sanctions against Venezuela cease, imagine what we would be able to do,” he said.
