The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, asked the Program for Democratic Coexistence and Peace to open a chapter on justice to deal with crimes that were excluded from the Amnesty Law.

In this regard, he pointed out that “the Amnesty Law exempts some crimes and I said it from the outset: We are going to channel the exempted crimes through the Program for Democratic Coexistence and Peace (...) a special chapter for justice, not only those that resulted from the political violence that has existed, I do not deny it. Political violence has existed, deviations from the criminal justice system have existed and exist.”

He stressed that “it's important that we keep listening. ”
