This Wednesday, May 13, the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, said that Venezuela's main difficulty currently in boosting the productive sector is still sanctions and coercive measures.
This was stated in Simón Bolívar Park in La Carlota, where the IV National Buffalo, Goat and Sheep Exhibition 2026 inaugurated.
In this regard, he stressed the importance of bringing the genetics of Venezuelan cattle to other countries, “I see and recognize the efforts of the Venezuelan public and private sectors, with a national economic policy in coordination with the productive sectors so that we can overcome vicissitudes”
He reiterated that faced with the difficulty posed by sanctions, “we have joined our efforts, in national union, in calling for the cessation of sanctions, that is on our diplomatic agenda with the Government of the United States and Governments of Western countries together with countries in Europe, let's carry out an agenda in which the productive sectors are already exempt, that they are no longer victims of sanctions.”
“Because if we have achieved this growth in a framework of economic blockade, let's imagine what we are capable of doing and what Venezuela is going to be: An economic power, in this case a food producer in a country without sanctions,” he stressed.
