President in Charge: We are going to the dialogue for Venezuelan justice!

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, said, this Monday, June 1, that the National Consultation for Criminal Justice Reform will open a debate and dialogue with all sectors of the country to consolidate a better justice system.

“The Venezuelan people have a lot of ideas and that is why this method of the National Consultation will allow us to hear (...) We are going sector by sector to listen to their proposals, we are going to dialogue for Venezuelan justice,” he said during the beginning of the National Consultation for Criminal Justice Reform

He also stressed that there are already many diagnoses regarding this reform; just as there are also many bodies that have a lot to contribute to this judicial reform.

He reaffirmed that these actions are to continue purifying justice institutions in the country, with the objective of having “a justice system that matches the historical moment that Venezuela is at stake, at the height of the moral and ethical need that this Republic needs, we need justice that lays the true foundations so that when it shakes, as I know they will try to shake stability, that they will try to shake the tranquility and peace of Venezuela, the Venezuelan State be on the front lines dignified, moral high and with honest professionals who defend Venezuela”.

He emphasized that the task given is not difficult, “we know how to do it and we are going to do it, let's take the step: Grand National Consultation for Criminal Justice Reform”, while adding that this will also allow us to have a system “adopted to international standards and the highest protocols in the guarantee of human rights”.
