President Maduro: 11 years ago I swore by the memory of Chávez and by the hope of the people

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, recalled the 11 years since his first swearing in as head of state.

“11 years ago, overwhelmed by many emotions, I swore an oath before the country and before God, through the eternal memory of Commander Chávez, to continue and defend the historic Homeland project resumed at this time by the Bolivarian Revolution, a commitment to life that grows and is strengthened with every struggle and hope of our people,” said the National President through the social network X.

On April 19, 2013, the National Assembly (AN) chaired by Diosdado Cabello sworn in Nicolás Maduro as president of the Republic.
