The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced the shipment of the first shipment of gas that will be exported to Colombia, to serve the populations of the border.
“This way, I inform President Gustavo Petro that the gas is ready for export. It goes in this first direct shipment to border towns and it is a donation that the people of Venezuela give to the Colombian people,” said the head of state during his speech at the National Council for Productive Economy.
He stressed that in this way “we open the way and we pass over those who want to speculate and steal from the people (...) the gas that Colombia needs is in Venezuela”.
The president denounced that there is “a whole campaign of the extreme right terrorist, Colombian drug trafficker so that then they don't buy the gas here that is safer, more direct. The gas that Colombia needs with a small investment, a tube and the gas reaches Colombia, safe for 30 years,” he emphasized.
