The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced this Thursday that, after the success of last Sunday's consultation, the initiative will be carried out four times a year, so that communities can decide to implement their projects.
“We had already seen the excellent experience in the state of Miranda, when the Communes and the Communal Councils came together and three times went out to vote to choose their projects prioritized by the community (...) we did it for the first time at the national level and I firmly believe that the communal consultation, last Sunday, has been a total success,” said the head of state from the Antimano parish.
During a working day dedicated to the balance of the Great Equality and Social Justice Mission “Hugo Chávez”, President Maduro indicated that “these consultations to approve resources for prioritized projects have to be done once a quarter, four times a year, and that people come out to participate, to decide.”
