President Maduro awards post-mortem award to Namibian president Hage Geingob

President Nicolás Maduro, on behalf of the People of Venezuela, decorated post-mortem the president of Namibia, Hage Geingob, whom he described as one of the great revolutionaries that Africa has given birth to.

This event took place during a meeting between the president and the Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV) where he awarded the name Sword Liberators and Liberators of Venezuela in her first class to the eldest daughter of the Namibian leader.

“In this beautiful act, the daughter of a leader, hero of Africa, on behalf of all the youth and the people of Venezuela. She attended the World Anti-Fascist Congress and brought a message from anti-fascist Africa, from the Africa that loves us,” said the Head of State.

Upon receiving the award, Nangula Geingob said she was proud to share the tribute to her father with the People of Venezuela.

On behalf of my entire Geingob family, and on behalf of the entire Swapo party that is with us supporting us. On behalf of the people of Namibia, I want to express our great gratitude to you and to Your Excellency, the elected and re-elected president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro,” said Geingob.
