President Maduro before the CNE convening: I am sure that the People will achieve a new victory

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, said that with the decision to convene the National Electoral Council (CNE), to hold the Presidential Elections 2024, on July 28, “I am sure that the people will win a new victory”.

“The CNE has spoken, a holy word and we say amen, we are going to Presidential Elections,” he emphasized in reference to the announcement of the electoral schedule by the Electoral Power.

“Long live Venezuelan democracy, long live freedom and long live the unity of the people,” he said.

From the Teresa Carreño Theater, where he led the launch of the Great Equality and Social Justice Mission, “Hugo Chávez”, the head of state, gave a brief summary of the electoral processes carried out in Venezuela in recent years, despite existing economic and political difficulties, including the global pandemic of COVID-19.

He pointed out that for the Presidential electoral process, the extremist right-wing sector, “had a chatter, that we were going to do a maneuver and suspend the elections.”

“No, they know us, oligarchs with surnames, bandits of the extreme right, criminals who have called for sanctions,” he emphasized.
