The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro Moros, during the 19th Anniversary of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), questioned the Venezuelan citizens who participated in the attacks against the country, specifically against the national electricity system.

“It's incredible that there can be Venezuelan people, born in this country, who are capable, for political or ideological reasons, for unspeakable reasons, of attacking their country's own electrical system (...) Who can think of attacking their own electrical system, which is a key element for the life of a country?” , he said.

He also stressed that they are already being detained by the courts, “those who directed the attack are imprisoned, confessed and convicted, imprisoned with the evidence and testimonies”, while regretting that the officials had not detected these events before, “but it was a group that had prepared for this, financed by the fascist right of this lady María Corina Machado and the coward of Inmundo, who fled the country (Edmondo González)”.

The Head of State assured that González was aware that something would happen in the country, which is why he took refuge in the Dutch embassy, and added that the right wing “didn't count that our intelligence would be able to capture a large part of the mercenary foreign elements that had entered the country and that have been captured.”
