The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, praised this Friday the country's important military advances, evidenced during the civic-military parade to commemorate the 213th Anniversary of Independence Day and the Day of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).

From Paseo Los Próceres, in Caracas, the Head of State highlighted “the extraordinary capabilities we have created for combat in modern times. There we have heavy weapons, aviation, anti-aircraft defense, medium and long-range missile rockets (...) the first generation of combat drones, which have been created by national engineering”.

In this regard, he highlighted the support of countries with cutting-edge technology in drone and anti-drone combat, “our sister Russia, our sister China, our sister Iran. So make no mistake about Venezuela,” he emphasized.

President Maduro reiterated that Venezuela is a nation of peace, “we love peace, when we went out to fight outside our border it was to conquer independence, freedom, but yearning for peace, but we are warriors and if you want peace, goes the old adage, if you want peace, get ready to defend it, to conquer it, to preserve it.”
