President Maduro: Historical Revolutionary Bloc Assured Victory in 285 Mayors

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, at an event celebrating the electoral results of this July 27, described as resounding the victory of the patriotic forces that, at the time of this declaration, have secured victory in 285 mayors while the opposition will govern some 50 mayors.

He highlighted that in this electoral process, the historic victory of the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolutionary Bloc was consolidated, as did the opposition factors that will govern 50 municipalities.

“I believe that today was the day of birth of a new opposition that has the obligation to govern well in the 50 mayors that have won and will count on our outstretched hand, and within the framework of respect for the laws, let go of conspiracies and the right to peace of the People, stop the call for foreign military intervention, stop the call for sanctions and American interventionism and let's move together to a comprehensive recovery of municipalities,” he said.
