This Monday, April 22, in the framework of World Planet Earth Day, during the editorial of his program Con Maduro+, in its 42nd broadcast, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that under the capitalist system there are no possibilities for the human species to survive.

He said that the entire world must “change the predatory capitalist system in order to save the human species”.

He made the statement when he recalled Commander Fidel Castro Ruz in 1992, “the prophecy only came true, the prophecy of Fidel Castro Ruz, commander of truths, when in 1992, he said: 'A species is in danger of extinction, the human species, let's save the planet, '” he said.

In this regard, he stressed that in order to address this serious problem of humanity, Commander Hugo Chávez, at the time, created and proposed in the Homeland Plan a Fifth Historic Objective: Let's Save the Planet.

“The extremist right, colonized, dragged into the North American empire, said it was an abrupt outburst to save the planet. Well, Chávez was right too. And his prophetic word today moves us to save the Earth, to save the planet,” he emphasized.

He stressed that “we the countries of the South are the ones that suffer the most from the tremendous attack of what is a climate emergency at all levels: warming of the climate, warming of the seas, disappearance of species, great floods, great droughts, great heat”.

The head of state pointed out that Venezuela is here “with a plan to mitigate all climate change, to face this climate emergency and to tell the peoples of the world, from Venezuela: Let's change the predatory capitalist system to save the human species.”
