This Tuesday, December 10, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that the time of loyalty and combat has come to Venezuela, “the time of betrayal is over.”

He stressed that starting in 1998, with the coming to power of Commander Hugo Chávez, treason ended in the country, summarizing the various occasions on which treason was imposed throughout the history of Venezuela.

“We are in loyalty to the original projects of Bolívar and Zamora. We swore it and we have done it,” he said when he received the Great March outside the Miraflores Palace on the occasion of the 165th Anniversary of the Battle of Saint Agnes.

In that regard, he affirmed that he maintains the maxim given by Commander Hugo Chávez and that he has also taught history, “never believe in the word of the enemies of Venezuela.”

He argued that Commander Chávez “taught us to never abandon the People's Council and to always prepare the People, for any scenario.”
