The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, instructed this Friday to make agroecological production a general rule in the country, to guarantee a healthy diet for the population.

“We have to, at the National Peasant School and the National University of the Communes, build on productive leadership and in new methods that are produced without contaminating the land, without contaminating food, healthy food comes out and enough is produced,” said the Head of State from the Caracas Polyhedron, during the Peasant Congress.

He stressed that “we are going to rescue and bring it to its highest level, sooner rather than later, in Venezuela it will have to be the general rule, to produce, under the scheme of agroecology, healthy food for the people and the healthy food that is in demand in the world today.”

The Dignitary indicated that “a healthy potato, like the one we are producing, is paid twice as much abroad and those are churupitos that enter the country, the family and are helping the growth of the real economy, the economy that produces goods and services for our country.”
