The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, instructed the inclusion of the lives and achievements of Venezuelan scientists in the pensum of studies by schoolchildren in the country.

During the inauguration ceremony of the Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán University of Sciences in Miranda state, the Head of State instructed the Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez, to include in the country's curriculum, not only the heroes and heroes of independence, but also Venezuelan scientists and scientists whose work has been of relevance to the country and the world.

“Take note so that girls and boys know all this at the beginning of school and, from now on in all study programs, as we demand military and civil heroes, to do so now with people who, since humanism, have done science and have transcended,” he ordered.
