The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, is leading the Parade this Saturday on the occasion of the 214th Anniversary of the Solemn Declaration of Independence, Day of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and Day of the Venezuelan Soldier.

From Paseo Los Próceres, in Caracas, the head of State and Commander in Chief of the FANB stressed that this is a “day of glory” and conveyed his congratulations to all the soldiers and soldiers of the Fatherland, “of our glorious united liberating army, heir to Bolívar and Sucre”.

“Congratulations, applause and hugs from our people for our glorious FANB. It had to be July 5, which is celebrated on Fatherland Day, the day we definitely dared to break the ties and chains of slavery that had subjected these American lands to 300 years of colonialism, plunder, abuse and imperial arrogance against the humble peoples who inhabited it,” said the president.

In this regard, Maduro reviewed the entire independence history of Venezuela and of Our America.

“On July 3rd, the bell rang and raised his voice for all of us, our Liberator, that 27-year-old Simón Bolívar, from Caracas who was born eternally and to those who said that we had to be calm in the face of the crisis of the Spanish monarchy. He said, '300 years of calm aren't enough? Let us fearlessly lay the foundation stone of South American freedom. To hesitate is to lose ourself' and it marked the course forever. It marked the eternal genes of the Great Homeland. And on July 5, 48 hours later, the united provinces of Venezuela, Republic, were solemnly declared,” he recalled.
