President Maduro led the Act of Promotion of Professional Military Personnel of the GHP and the DGCIM

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, led the Promotion Act for the Professional Military Personnel of the Presidential Honor Guard (GHP) and the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM).

At the above-mentioned event, held in the Ríos Reyna Room of the Teresa Carreño Theater, the National President, who is the Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), authorized the promotion of 467 professionals from the Military House and 47 professionals from the DGCIM,

The promotions were 22 soldiers to the rank of Captain and 5 Lieutenant of Vessel; 34 soldiers to the rank of Major and a Corvette Captain; of 19 soldiers to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and a Frigate Captain and the promotion of 21 soldiers to the rank of Colonel and Captain of Vessel.

At the beginning of the event, he congratulated the military personnel of the Presidential Honor Guard and the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence for being “courageous patriots, professionals of honor, who today deservedly ascend to the next highest rank.”

He stressed that in this way “they strengthen their commitment, their morale and a military career that in Venezuela is honor and glory, because it is Bolívar's Venezuela.”

“I congratulate you and your families and promotions are authorized,” he said.
