On the night of Monday, June 24, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured that “no one is going to privatize the right to housing in the country.” This was stated in his show Con Maduro+ number 51, while stressing that “no one is going to steal the right to the future from Venezuelan women”.
“Nobody is going to steal anything from Venezuelans (...) We have delivered 5 million homes, but how many people need housing? A lot of them, and that's why I committed myself to delivering 500,000 new homes per year by 2030 and thus reaching three million more homes,” he said.
He stressed that during the last week he has given the population works done with a lot of love and that have been requested through the 1x10 of Good Governance.
He called on Venezuelan women and women to rescue abandoned urban areas and to move forward with their rehabilitation.
“We have to go and rescue urban areas that have deteriorated over time. For example, in Caracas we are recovering those delivered by General Marcos Pérez Jiménez, on January 23. We are going to put them in the package,” he said.
