President Maduro proposes that Communal Circuits be assumed as self-government of the People

This Saturday, July 06, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, proposed that in addition to updating the governments of the Communal Circuits, the task of ensuring that they are assumed as self-government of the People in the communities of the country should also be carried out.

“My project would be for each of the 4,500 Community Circuits to be assumed as self-government of the People, self-government of the bases, self-government of the Communes,” said the National Executive during the First National Meeting of Community Circuits in Barquisimeto, Lara state.

He also indicated that the issue of the budget for the Communal Circuits is being worked on by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, with the purpose of “accelerating the process of transferring power and being able to finance and support them directly, because I know that the money that reaches the People yields and multiplies.”

At the same time, he ordered the activation of the communal economy tables, in which different plans will be proposed, such as food production, community tourism development and the registration of communal enterprises.

“It was the great dream of Commander Hugo Chávez, the productive Commune as the axis of the new diversified economy model,” he reaffirmed, stressing that all these actions are framed in the Homeland Plan and the Plan of the Seven Transformations.
