The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, pointed out this Tuesday the two main reasons why the Government of the United States (USA) is trying to justify military intervention against the South American nation, such as natural wealth and the project of the Liberator Simon Bolivar.

“They come for Venezuelan oil, they want it for free, for gas. We have the main oil reserve and that oil does not belong to Maduro and least of all to the gringos, it belongs to you (...) That first oil reserve in the world belongs to the people of Venezuela. We have the world's fourth gas reserves, one of the first gold reserves and stop counting. They come for natural wealth,” warned the Head of State.

During a day of Community Balance and Rehabilitation of the “Los Jardines” Outpatient Clinic, Los Cedros Comprehensive Community Health Area (ASIC), in the parish of El Valle de Caracas, Maduro also warned that gringos “come for a second wealth that is perhaps more powerful than any other. Do you know what wealth it is? The project of Simon Bolivar, the revolutionary project of 21st century socialism”.

He added that they intend to “end in the bud the greatest project that our America has ever had, which is the liberation project of the great Simon Bolivar, of the great Antonio José Sucre. They want to finish the example of what we are doing, not to set an example around the world and for the youth of the United States to set their eyes on the fact that in Venezuela there is true grassroots democracy and that the country's budget is not spent on wars, is not spent on invasions, and is not spent on throwing missiles and bombs at peoples.”
