This Saturday, May 18, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that the catch of sardine fish has increased by 72% during the first months of this year 2024 in Venezuela.
In this regard, during the working day called “The Productive Economy of Blue Venezuela”, the Head of State indicated that this is possible for the working and conscious people that they are producing, despite the attacks and the blockade.
“The People will always be able to do more than all that banditry, it is a banditry that wants to put its claws on Venezuela. They are the same as always, but our people are awake, aware and working, producing,” he emphasized from the state of Nueva Esparta.
He also stressed that Venezuela's economy continues to grow on all fronts, “with its own efforts, defeating sanctions, threats and the blockade.”
In the same way, he indicated that this year the overall catch of fishing in Venezuela increased by 6%; while the aquaculture sector registered a growth of 55%.
“If we have been able to weave together a correct strategy and Venezuela has been recovering, what awaits us is economic greatness, prosperity with our own efforts, with independence and sovereignty without dragging ourselves down or surrendering ourselves to any empire,” he said.
