The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that six years ago the Venezuelan people gave a tremendous lesson in conscience and capacity, despite the fact that the extremist opposition sector tried to sabotage the Presidential Elections for the period 2019-2025, held on Sunday, May 20, 2018.

This is what he said when referring to his re-election by the People as head of state, “from the north they said no, that they already knew who they were going to be president: a big cock and our people taught them a lesson that day and we had a victory of conscience and wisdom”.

The approach was made during the editorial of the 46th broadcast of his program “With Maduro + “, where he also stated that it was a victory “for a period of resistance, in which we were learning, rebuilding, creating, recreating”.

In this sense, he emphasized that “today too, May 20, 2 years old, that little boy we saw growing up: The 1x10 of Good Government, with a record of 4 million solutions built from Popular Power, from the local level”.

The head of state also reiterated his regret over the physical departure of Iran's president, Ebrahim Raisi.

“With Iran we can not only say that we are friends, that we are allies, no, with Iran today we can say: We are sister peoples, and as brother peoples, our solidarity and all our support,” he said.

“President Ebrahim Raisi, wherever you are, have the confidence that Venezuela will continue in battle, in victory, united with the People of Iran,” he said while commenting on the conversation he had this Monday, 20, with the interim president of the Persian nation, Mohammad Mokhber.
