President Maduro thanked businessmen for their efforts in recent years to produce

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, thanked all the businessmen for the supreme effort they have made in recent years to produce, even under the worst circumstances.

“ I thank the big businessmen, the medium-sized ones, the small ones, the entrepreneurs, for all their efforts to produce, because they never gave up and despite the differences they decided to bet on the country,” said Maduro from the state of Lara, during the National Council for Productive Economy in the Western Region.

The Head of State, assured that the sanctions are not against President Maduro, “they were against the economic apparatus of Venezuela.”

“We are experiencing the worst shortage in the history of Venezuela and we overcome it with unity, over differences. We learned to find a solution to every problem, to do a lot with nothing,” he said.

The president recalled that the economic plan was thought out and designed after talking for months, “first, out of love for our country and second, because we were not going to surrender to any foreign force.”
