President Maduro thanked CELAC for its strong statement in support of Venezuela

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, expressed his gratitude to the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), for its recent statement in support of Venezuela.
“I want to thank the countries of the Community of Latin American States for the strong statement, the statement they have issued rejecting military threats, rejecting the military presence of the United States in the Caribbean and supporting the right of the Venezuelan people to live in peace,” he emphasized.
He stressed that this statement “sets the tone for what is the world's reaction, the positive reaction of the Peoples, when they say that Latin America and the Caribbean is a territory of peace.”
“This is not a territory of imperial ambitions or threats,” he said in the Simon Bolivar Hall of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army (AMEB), where he led the act of activating the Militia Community Units in the nation's 5,336 communal circuits.
In addition, President Maduro also thanked the members of the Bolivarian National Militia, the leaders of all the communities and peoples of Venezuela.
