President Maduro thanked his counterpart Emmanuel Macron for recognizing the existence of the Palestinian State

This Thursday, July 24, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that despite the differences he thanks the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, for the step of recognizing the right to exist of the Palestinian State.

During an interview with TeleSUR in the framework of the 20th Anniversary of this multiplatform information, he reaffirmed that the right of the Palestinian People is established in multiple resolutions of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) and is an international law.

He emphasized that the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, wants to ignore the resolutions that are mandatory international law.

In this context, in order to address the serious situation in Palestine, President Maduro ratified his proposal that Arab countries, the Arab League, China, Russia, India, the BRICS, and the United States urgently convene a Multilateral Summit for Peace and International Legality.

“Rethinking the rules of the game, for a renewed respect for the rules that gave birth to the United Nations Organization,” he said.

He argued that Palestine is the cause of humanity, “if humanity triumphs, justice and the right to peace win. But if it is defeated, horrible times will come and violence will prevail, massacre and a new fascism will prevail.”
