The indissoluble union that exists between the peoples of Cuba and Venezuela has made it possible to face imperial attacks and to move forward in the construction of a more just world, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
On the occasion of the celebration of the 72nd anniversary of the assault on the Moncada barracks, the Head of State congratulated the Cuban people who, together with Commander Fidel Castro, rose up in 1953 against the pro-imperialist dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.
“We exalt the Cuban rebellion, which today continues to inspire us and strengthen our ties. We have never seen a deep brotherhood and a love as growing as that between Cuba and Venezuela. We are two sister revolutions in Bolivar and Martí, in Fidel and Chávez. This indissoluble union has allowed us to face imperial attacks and move forward in building a more just world,” wrote the president on his Telegram channel.
In this regard, he pointed out that the feat of Moncada not only laid the foundations for the liberation of Cuba, but also inspired the unity and struggle of our America.
In the same way, he sent affectionate, supportive and brotherly greetings to Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, to the comrade President, Miguel Díaz-Canel, to the courageous militancy and to the undefeated Cuban people.
