The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Monday, July 21, denounced that the United States and El Salvador seriously violated the human rights of 252 Venezuelan migrants held in Salvadoran territory, as well as those of girls and boys who remain in the United States.
In that regard, he demanded that international agreements on migratory protection must be complied with.
He also confirmed that the humanitarian exchange was carried out, through which 10 foreign citizens were handed over in exchange for 252 Venezuelan migrants kidnapped in El Salvador, in an action that had the fundamental support of the Venezuelan justice system.
The national president said that “we had not been through something like what we experienced with the kidnapping of Venezuelan migrants in concentration camps. CECOT stands for: Special Concentration Camp”.
In the Digital Zone segment of his program “With Maduro +”, in its 86th edition, he also recalled that “we still have 29 boys and girls in the United States and we will not rest until we bring them back to the arms of their families”.
At this point, he maintained that efforts will not cease until the 29 boys and girls held in the United States are repatriated to Venezuela.
He assured that the return of children illegally held in the United States and the return of 252 Venezuelan migrants kidnapped in El Salvador, has been global news, and there is full satisfaction in the world for Venezuela's achievements in recovering its compatriots.
On the other hand, in response to complaints from some NGOs that in El Salvador there have been more than 427 deaths in the context of the emergency regime, he commented that some websites speak of thousands of deaths.
“Soon the whole truth will be known,” he said.
