The United States and Europe are responsible for the crimes that have been perpetrated in Libya, “a country that was in a situation of stability”, emphasized this Thursday, July 24, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

Libya was the most stable, safest, most peaceful country with the greatest social and economic development in all of Africa. Social security and health, education and protection for families who had children were at the highest level,” he recalled.

In an interview with TeleSUR in the framework of the 20th Anniversary of this television station, he also denounced that the West constructed a false narrative to justify actions directed against the African nation, whose sole objective was to colonize it and strip it of its sovereignty.

He highlighted that the Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi at the time was received in all European capitals and signed agreements, “Libyan reserves were 330 billion dollars and he had 250 billion dollars deposited in banks in Spain, Portugal, Italy and London, and they were stolen. The reserves that were in the United States disappeared.”

In this context, President Maduro recalled that it was with the Arab Spring, one of the moments in which they applied the impact of social networks, “they had already practiced it in Venezuela, I think it was the first country, when in 2007, they raised a movement through the social network Twitter.”

For this reason, he proposed applying the recommendations of a text that “soon, on July 30, 2025, we will share the communication method: Streets, Networks, Media, Walls and Radio Bemba”.

“It's a book, into which all the experience we've had with communication attacks has been poured into,” he explained.
