President Maduro: The United States attacks Venezuela for its interest in the nation's natural resources

This Monday, September 08, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reaffirmed that the U.S. empire is attacking Venezuela, not because of an alleged fight against drug trafficking, but because of its interest in the nation's natural resources.

He explained that the central objective of regime change in Venezuela, “is to impose a model, a government enslaved to the interests of the American oligarchy.”

“It's an extravagant, bizarre threat, it's a threat that doesn't have a foot or a head,” he said during the broadcast of the 90th broadcast of his show Con Maduro+.

“They want Venezuelan oil, gas, gold and other natural wealth. That's what they're looking for. Everything else is simply a Hollywood story,” he said.

In this regard, the head of state confirmed that peace, territorial integrity and the full exercise of national sovereignty will prevail in Venezuela, thanks to the consolidation of the popular-military-police union.

He pointed out that the Venezuelan people “with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces at the helm, with the Bolivarian Militia, increasingly deployed, better organized and prepared, we are defending our right to sovereignty and territorial integrity, to peace and to life.”

He asserted that “they tell us pure lies, they are the kings of fake news to justify the unjustifiable”.
