President Maduro to mothers in their day: Cilia and I send them a hug full of love, respect and gratitude

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro sent a message to mothers in his day from New York City in the United States.

“Mothers of Venezuela and the world: on this special day, Cilia and I send you a hug full of love, respect and gratitude. Mother is love, creation and eternal protection; it is loyalty, commitment, tenderness and strength. In every Venezuelan mother lives the purest soul of the Fatherland: the one who cares, prays, works, protects and never stops waiting,” he said.

The Head of State added that “in these times of pilgrimage and perseverance, we call on mothers to spiritually embrace all of Venezuela and to pray together for the peace, unity and happiness of our country. As 1 John 5:14-15 teaches (which we invite to read and reflect), let us pray with faith and act with loving union, so that mothers can be proud to continue giving birth to better times. Cilia and I congratulate them, embrace them in eternal commitment and thank them for all the ongoing support we have received and felt from mothers in Venezuela and around the world.”
