During a press conference with international media, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stated that the country is “economically strengthened”, thanks to the Bolivarian socialist model, despite the more than a thousand coercive measures imposed by the United States government.

“The Venezuelan economic model has resisted and defeated the blockade. Today it is solid, diversified and growing, generating sources of work and wealth for the people,” said the head of state.

President Maduro emphasized that Venezuela enjoys a participatory and leading democracy.

“In just one year, from July 2024 to July 2025, we carried out seven electoral processes, including presidential, parliamentary, regional, municipal elections and community consultations. It's an intense, living, population-based democracy,” he said.

The president specified that the communal system has 5,336 active circuits, committed to continuous work and debate. He invited international correspondents to visit any community in the country to learn about the experience of direct democracy in the 21st century.

He emphasized the humanist and Christian character of Venezuelan socialism, inspired by Venezuelan heroes such as Ezequiel Zamora, Simon Bolivar and Commander Hugo Chávez.

“Our socialism aims at a society of equals and of free, men and women, equal and free peoples. Only in Christ the Redeemer do we find justice, harmony and peace,” he said.

The National President assured that the country is moving towards an internal climate of greater inclusion, tolerance and public debate. “The extreme right that promoted coups d'etat and destabilization is defeated and isolated. The majority of the Venezuelan people love and care about peace,” he concluded.
