The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, assured that the meeting with the media this Monday is very important because Venezuela is facing the greatest threat that has been seen in our continent in the last 100 years.
“Eight military ships, with 1200 missiles and a nuclear submarine, are aimed at Venezuela; it is an extravagant, unjustifiable, immoral and absolutely criminal, bloody threat,” he said, adding that “they (the United States) have wanted to move towards what they call maximum pressure, which in this case is military and in the face of maximum pressure we have implemented maximum preparation in Venezuela.”
“I thank our people, through this popular-military-police union for the poise, firmness and patriotic conscience that has been seen in all these days of threat,” he stressed.
Likewise, the president asserted that the plan against Venezuela could be described as “a mess”, all forms of hybrid war having been defeated and reiterated that the worst mistake was the maximum extravagant, immoral pressure.
“A situation like this has never been seen and we are simply amazed at how the Miami Mafia has seized political power from the White House and the State Department and as an imposition on their mayamera extremist vision,” he said.
The Bolivarian leader stressed that “to threaten Venezuela is to threaten the rest of the continent, whoever messes with you is messing with the whole of Latin America. We have responded to national union through the Constitution to persevere sovereignty.”
