Communications between the governments of Venezuela and the United States are “discarded” because of the aggressions from Washington against our country, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
“Communications with the United States are discarded by them, because of their threats of bombs, deaths, blackmail. That's not how we work, with threats and blackmail there will never be anything and they know it. We went from a phase of battered communications to discarded communications,” emphasized the Head of State during a meeting with national and international media.
On the other hand, the President reported that the Venezuelan Government is carrying out an investigation to find out the truth about the video released by United States authorities about the attack by its military forces on a vessel that allegedly carried drugs.
In this regard, he stressed that investigations are being carried out to find out if, as stated by US spokespersons, Venezuelan citizens were traveling on that boat.
“This attack, which was carried out against a group of people who were on a boat, is seriously questioned and people familiar with this type of issue say that it was a malicious crime. A lacha that was presumed to be committing a crime was attacked and the presumption went on to the death penalty,” said the Head of State during a meeting of national and international journalists, where he also demanded that the US government carry out an investigation at the highest level.
