The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Monday, September 08, stressed that the days of last weekend to elect the spokespersons of the Peasant Councils, both in terms of peasant development and in the strengthening of the militia process, constitute a living expression of the popular process constituting the Bolivarian Revolution.
In this context, he considered that a School of Peasant Leadership should be created, in connection with the Great Peasant Union Ezequiel Zamora, in order to provide training tools and promote leadership in peasant youth.
Also, in the segment of Q5: Political Transformation and Popular Power, during the broadcast of the 90th broadcast of his program Con Maduro+, he reiterated that the popular constituent process represents the essence of the Venezuelan revolutionary process.
In this regard, he recalled the preparatory phase of the Constituent Power, which lasted from 1992 to 1998, marked by a profound national debate on the need to refound the Republic.
He highlighted that with the electoral triumph of December 6, 1998, of Commander Hugo Chávez, the process of convening the National Constituent Assembly was activated, conceived as a historic phase to design a new Constitution and face the creation of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
