President Nicolás Maduro: Today a new global consciousness is rising

This Monday, September 1, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reaffirmed that today a new global consciousness is rising in the world that fights against colonialism and supremacy.

“Today, a new global consciousness is being raised that will not allow under any circumstances any type of colonialism or supremacy to be imposed, here in Latin America or in the world,” he said during a press conference with international media.

He pointed out that today those who think they own the world are trying to impose their narratives in their attempt to belittle the value and dignity of the Venezuelan people to justify aggression and interference.

For this reason, he emphasized that Venezuela has written a glorious history of struggle and resistance against supremacists and colonialists. At the same time, he recalled the feat of the Liberator Simon Bolivar and the brave resistance of our original peoples.

“Venezuela's historical trajectory is anti-colonialist, resistance, republican and revolutionary. It is in this 21st century, socialist and advocates equality, as an established and practiced principle,” he emphasized.
