President of CELA: Political parties participating in elections trust the electoral system

The president of the Council of Electoral Experts of Latin America (CELA), Nicanor Moscoso, stressed that the 30 political organizations participating in the Municipal Elections 2025, this Sunday, July 27, trust the Venezuelan electoral system.

In an interview on the Café en La Mañana program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he stated that “we had contact with around 30 political organizations participating in these elections, we share with them their concerns, requirements and right there, they stated that they believe and consider that the Venezuelan electoral system is reliable.”

He also noted that they are in the country to witness the audits, which consist of statistically verifying that the machines and all the electoral kit sent to the voting centers meet the necessary standards.

He also recalled the elections of July 28, 2024 and insisted that they were very important, “because between the National Electoral Council (CNE) and CELA, an agreement was signed, where we participated for two months in almost the 20 audits in which we shared with all the candidates and were able to verify all the work of the Electoral Power.”

Moscoso urged the Venezuelan people to participate in these elections on July 27, since “it is the right of each of you to be there and choose the candidate of your choice.”
