The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, emphasized that Latin America and the Caribbean is a zone free of nuclear weapons and a zone of peace and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and has a responsibility to protect those historic achievements.
“CELAC has an obligation to protect its achievements in the face of the serious threat to regional security posed by the disproportionate military operation of the United States in the Caribbean under false pretexts,” said the Cuban president, through a publication in his X account.
The U.S. military threat has been rejected by several Latin American countries and from different parts of the world.
