President of Iran assures that he will respond to any new aggression by Israel

The president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masud Pezeshkian, stated that any new aggression by Israel's Zionism will be responded to with a deep offensive within the territory of that country.

The president's statements come weeks after the cessation of hostilities between the two nations after 12 days of intense conflict.

“The Israeli regime attacked us, we responded more strongly, they are only hiding their losses,” said Pezeshkian, interviewed by Al Jazeera. According to the president, Tel Aviv's attempts to “dismantle Iran and cause chaos have failed miserably.”

The tension worsened on June 13, when Israel began a bombing campaign claiming that Iran was close to developing a nuclear weapon. In response, Iran launched drones and ballistic missiles into Israeli territory.
