President of the AN arrived in China to participate in the 80th Anniversary of the Victory

This Sunday, August 31, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, announced that he arrived in China to participate in the events commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the War of Resistance of the Chinese People against Japanese Aggression.

“We are in Beijing, the beautiful capital of the People's Republic of China, representing President Nicolás Maduro and the people of Venezuela, to participate in the events of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the War of Resistance of the Chinese People against Japanese Aggression,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also expressed the happiness of the Venezuelan delegation, led by him, to bring the “arm of President Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelan people to his older brother (...) an embrace that is also full of solidarity and the strength that sister peoples have”.

In addition, he noted that the visit will be propitious to ratify the strengthening of this new multipolar world, in which countries converge to work together for the happiness of peoples and without aggression.

Venezuela and China consolidate an alliance that has been strengthened since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1974. Under the principle of “A Strategic Partnership for All Time and Test”, the cooperation map between the two nations covers more than 600 binational agreements, in areas fundamental to the development of both peoples, such as energy, infrastructure, technology, health, education, among others.
