President of the Supreme Court: Election of justices of the peace is the reaffirmation of Venezuela's sovereignty

The president of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Judge Caryslia Rodríguez, stressed that the election of justices of the peace by the Venezuelan people by direct vote is the reaffirmation of Venezuela's sovereignty and independence.

“It is a very human act, of love, of expression to achieve the materialization of justice in the territory, so from the Supreme Court of Justice and the entire Judiciary, we feel the honor that has been conferred on us, and we thank God that allows us to live this stellar moment,” he said.

He congratulated the patriots who will defend peace and the Fatherland, “today it is a real one for the entire Judiciary to welcome this group of men and women, who the whole country, with their presence, their work, with their persistence, have made possible this day that fills us with pride and honor for the whole country and all powers.”

This was stated at the meeting with the justices of the peace, elected by the communes last Sunday, December 15, led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
