President Putin confirms support for the People and Government of Venezuela in defense of sovereignty

Faced with threats and aggressions from the imperialism of the United States (USA), this Thursday the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, confirmed his support for the People and Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the defense of peace and national sovereignty, during a telephone conversation with his counterpart Nicolás Maduro.

This was reported by the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, noting that, during the call, both leaders agreed to continue to promote bilateral cooperation, “establishing the city of Caracas as the venue for the next CIAN (High-Level Intergovernmental Commission). Russia and Venezuela deepen their ties of friendship and strategic brotherhood,” he said.

Rodríguez shared the official statement of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, which details that the Russian dignitary “firmly and categorically ratified his support and support for President Nicolás Maduro in national efforts to consolidate peace, political stability, economic development and social protection of the Venezuelan people.” In addition, “he stressed that the Venezuelan people deserve absolute respect in their legitimate struggle for the defense of their sovereignty and independence.”
