Last Thursday, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, in statements broadcast on public television, warned that if any country in the North Atlantic Organization (NATO) authorizes Kiev to use missiles on its territory, they will face Moscow directly.

“If that decision is taken, it will mean nothing other than the direct participation of NATO countries, the United States and European countries, in the war in Ukraine... It would mean that NATO countries are at war with Russia

The warning came after the leaders of Europe and the United States are considering to make more visible the rules for firing Western weapons, including long-range missiles, at Russian territory, something that Ukraine has called for more strongly in recent times.

Putin also warned that, in the face of such a situation, Russia will make “appropriate decisions based on the threats” posed to it.
