The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, ratified this Thursday the national strength demonstrated in economic growth, despite multiple aggressions on the part of the United States (USA) and its allies.

During a special interview conducted by the president of TeleSUR, Patricia Villegas, and the Spanish journalist and professor Ignacio Ramonet, in the framework of the 20th anniversary of the multiplatform, the Head of State emphasized that Venezuela is building a new economic model, through 13 engines.

“Based on production, productivity, with our own effort, with our own investment because we must not forget that we are a blocked, besieged country that has no access to any type of external financing,” he said.

In this regard, he stressed that “the Venezuelan economy has demonstrated great strength in its growth (...) With the 13 engines, we have succeeded in redirecting growth with our own lung, with our own strength, with our own capacity, overcoming blockages”.

“We have 17 quarters of growth in the real economy, what is growing the most is the non-oil economy for the first time as a trend in more than 100 years and this year in the first quarter we grew by 9%, and in the second quarter we received all these threats that remove this, that take away that, that the Venezuelan economy depends on such a US company, we proved that it was false (...) we had real economy growth of 6.6%,” he added.

The President indicated that he aspires that by the end of 2025, “and I aspire to it with knowledge of the facts, making the effort, to bring economic growth back to 9% this year, which would already place us with a higher gross domestic product than we had in the past and would also place the economy more robustly, with more strength.”
