The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said this Sunday that the country is making progress in each of its electoral processes, despite the aggressions promoted by the United States (USA) and its allies.

From the Simón Rodríguez Bolivarian National Ecological School, located in Fuerte Tiuna, Caracas, where he exercised his right to vote in the municipal elections and the Popular Youth Consultation, the President emphasized that in 26 years of Revolution, 33 elections have been held in the country.

“Some people in the world were saying: 'How are you going to make so many choices with a blockade, with sanctions, with siege, with threats from imperialism? We don't give a shit what imperialism does; Venezuela continues its political, economic, social, cultural life, so as not to say a word that I shouldn't say, but we don't give a shit,” he said.

The Dignitary stressed that the Venezuelan people are rebellious and dignified. “Under those conditions, however, we haven't lost an election. With Guarimba (2017) we did the one for governorates, we did the one for constituents, we did the one for mayor's office and then the presidential one in 2018. Now with economic sanctions, just beginning the recovery of the country's economic apparatus, the growth of the real economy, we have also complied with our people,” he stressed.
