Presidential Command Post and Single Authority for the People of Cumanacoa are created

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, created the Presidential Command Post and the Central and Single Authority for the People of Cumanacoa in the state of Sucre, with the purpose of supervising the recovery and care work for the damage caused by the rains in that town.

In this regard, he indicated that he appointed Major General Lockiby Belmontes as Head of the Central and Single Authority for the People of Cumanacoa, “a major general of the town and an expert in logistics and field action.”

He recalled that this is the same formula that was applied to the town of Tovar in Mérida and Las Tejerías in Aragua, when these sectors were also affected by heavy rainfall.

He stressed that this Presidential Command and the Single Authority will aim to assume control and develop all comprehensive plans in the areas of water, food, appliances, housing, machinery and support.
